The GW-9400-1 is a study in Redundant Reliability. It was the first model to feature the Triple Sensor (Version 3) in a fully shock-resistant G-SHOCK housing. This means you have an Altimeter, Barometer, Compass, and Thermometer all accessible via a single, oversized "Master" button at the 3 o'clock position.
The design is "Tactical Brutalism"—every button is knurled for use with heavy gloves, and the cylindrical guard structure ensures that the sensors and pushers are protected from direct impact, mud, and debris.
Key Performance Features
Triple Sensor (Ver. 3): High-speed, high-precision sensors for Altitude, Atmospheric Pressure/Temperature, and Direction (Digital Compass).
Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping: Receives time calibration radio signals from six transmitters worldwide (Japan, China, USA, England, Germany) for perfect accuracy.
Tough Solar Power: A high-capacity solar charging system that ensures your survival sensors never run out of power in the middle of a trek.
One-Touch Time Recording: A dedicated button that allows you to timestamp your current location or event instantly—a critical tool for navigators and field researchers.
Sunrise/Sunset Data: Displays specific sunrise and sunset times for any date, allowing you to plan your camp or movement based on available light.
Mud-Resistant Button Structure: Specialized gaskets and a cylindrical guard system prevent fine sand, mud, and dust from entering the case.
200m Water Resistance & Low-Temp Resistance: Specifically engineered to keep operating perfectly in freezing conditions down to -10°C.
